Today, we had the 2019 Showa English Speech Contest. First graders through fifth graders chose stories that they have been reading in English class this year. Each student read the stories in small groups. Sixth graders chose to give speeches on topics about either Japanese culture or their dreams. Each student presented individually. All of the participants, including all those who auditioned, put in a lot of effort and helped create an excellent speech contest.
