Today we had the 2019 Showa English Speech Contest for the fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. The fourth graders recited stories in small groups, each student doing a section from a story. Both fifth and sixth graders each gave speeches individually from original topics they chose to write on. The fifth graders did speeches on the topic of “I Like…”, and the sixth graders gave speeches on either the topic of “My Dream “ or “My Best Memory at Showa”. It was really difficult for the judges to judge this year as each student put in so much effort giving very beautiful speeches. Thank you to all the students who tried out and put in such great effort.
