夏休み期間、学童キッズクラブでは様々なプログラムを用意して取り組んでいます。

今週は、オリンピックの新競技にもなった「空手」に取り組みました。

専門の先生からは体の動かし方だけでなく、礼儀作法についても教わりました。

子どもたちにとって楽しみながら、心身を鍛えるきっかけにもなったことでしょう。

This is the last entry in our journey at Green School! It was a fun-filled three days, and we all learned a lot about SDGs, the environment, and about Green School. This afternoon, we connected with Green School on Zoom again. We heard a short talk by Dr. Takama about what he researching and doing in regard to climate change and SDGs. After that, we asked him some questions about what he does and what we can do to help the environment. Each student gave a short speech where we stated what we learned and what we think we can do to contribute going forward. All in all, it was a great experience that we will never forget!

We've just finished the third morning of activities for Green School. First, we had some more speaking practice with our English teachers. Next, we started working on our afternoon presentations which will be about what we learned regarding SDGs and Green School Bali over these past three days. We got help from our teachers when we wrote down our sentences. Then we practiced reading the sentences with our teachers and friends. And we will have a presentation along with Q&A from Dr. Takama this afternoon, so we worked on questions that we wanted to ask him. We are getting close to the end of Green School, so we will do our best to make the most of it!

This afternoon finishes up our second day of Green School. We started by taking a virtual tour of Green School in Bali. We were able to use VR to see some of the buildings in their school as if they were in our own school. We learned about some of the many buildings at their school and how they are built from bamboo. Next, we took part in a bamboo building workshop where we made our own shapes and sculptures from bamboo on cardboard. Then, we heard a presentation about the Bye-Bye Plastic Bags and asked some questions about their presentation. Last, we presented our thoughts and feelings about today's activities.

We completed our second morning of Green School! First, we reviewed what we learned yesterday. Next, we watched some videos about Green School as well as there program they started called “Bye Bye Plastic Bags”. Then we came up with our own English questions for Green School Bali and about the Bye Bye Plastic Bags program. We are excited to ask these questions to Green School Bali this coming afternoon! Last, we started working on ideas for our final day presentations. We can't wait to share our questions this afternoon with Green School Bali!
