English Camp Day3-July8

 

On the last day,the 6th graders performed their English skits.

They have been working hard every day!

They showed creativity and originality on the stage!
Each froup was amazing and we really enjoyed watching tieir performances.

During camp everyone tried their best and ded very well!

They tried to speak a lot of English and had a lot of fun.

Thanks to the native English teachers,we had a great time.

Everyone made wonderful memories.

We hope everyone will continue learning English!

 

English Camp Day 2- July 7

In the morning, the 6th graders visited Sengen Shrine. They guided their native English teachers and explained how to pray, as well as, other cultural things. For example, guardian dogs, torii gates, and good luck charms.

Later, they enjoyed role-playing activities. They tried many different situations, such as ordering at a restaurant, staying at a hotel, going  to the hospital, going to the convenience store, and going to a pet shop.

In the evening, they had a photo contest. Each group took unique and wonderful pictures and presented in front of everyone. It was amazing!

Tommorow they will perform the English skits they have been working on! Our students are both nervous and excited to show their ideas! 

　正にハイキング日和の天候で始まった２日目。朝食を食べて、早速尾瀬の玄関、御池に向かいました。御池に到着すると、尾瀬を案内してくださるハイキングガイドさんに出迎えをしていただきました。互いを自己紹介した後、ハイキングがスタート。目的地の尾瀬沼に辿り着くためには、峠を越えなければいけません。峠という言葉自体がピンときていない５年生の子どもたち。早速、登り道からスタートします。「しばらくすると、下り道になるからね」と聞いて進みますが、なかなか峠の頂まで辿り着きません。それでも、ガイドさんの分かりやすい説明を聞きながら歩いているので、楽しみながら元気よく進んでいきます。湿原に出ると、そこにはニッコウキスゲやワタスゲなどの高原植物が咲いています。子どもたちの目はさらに輝き、「これってニッコウキスゲだよね！」とガイドさんに確認します。今年は例年以上に、湿原にお目当ての高原植物が咲いていたようで、子どもたちは疲れを忘れ、実物をよく観察し始めます。尾瀬沼のほとりで昼食を食べ帰路につくと、さすがに疲れが目に見えてきました。最後まで頑張って歩ききった子どもたち。帰りのシャトルバスでは、寝息を立てていました。

　ホテルに戻り、ゲレンデで軽く遊んだ後、夜はキャンプファイヤーを楽しみました。岩城先生とキャンプファイヤー実行委員会の子どもたちによる火の神様をお迎えする劇。そして、山田先生とスタンツ担当の子どもたちによるアクティビティ。趣は異なりますが、どちらも大いに盛り上がりました。ホテルに戻り、子どもたちは、９時に就寝しました。

English Camp Day 1-July 6

The 6th graders started English Camp today!

In the opening ceremony,some students gave wonderful speeches in English.

They introduced our school to their native English teachers.

Later,they presented their English notebooks and brochures about Japan.

They also answered fun quiz questions from the native teachers and played fun games together.

In the evening,each group began to plan their English skits.They will perform it on the last day of camp.

They shared ideas and worked together with creativity.

The students were very active and tried hard to use English.

The native teachers said they were so impressed!

We are excited to keep going for the next two days!
